What's up guys and gals?! Welcome to the lovely month of June!
I come to you today with one of the my wildest accessories yet; a watch made out of wood! A USA company called JORD makes these hand crafted luxury watches for men and women, and I thought they were so wonderfully unique that I just HAD to have one! I chose a watch from the Sully series made from red sandlewood and maple. I have a very tiny wrist and it an be difficult for me to find a watch that fits, but JORDs' order form has a handy-dandy measuring template, so you can measure your wrist to make sure the watch fits JUST right! They also send extra links and a warranty card in case it needs tended to. The packaging is beautiful so this would make a really nice gift for someone special!
I wore my wood watch down by oceanside in Marina del Rey, California, where I spent the afternoon on a beautiful sailboat owned by Naos Yachts. I accessorized my look with silver drop earings and stacked rings from one of my absolute fave jewelry companies, L.V. Kiki. I have blogged them before and go back to their selections often. They have a plethora of styles of jewelry and the versatility suits my many moods!
Because I wanted the accessories to shine in this blog, I picked a minimal, but dramatic, long grey maxi dress from Boohoo. It has a side slit to show off the legs, 3/4 sleeves, a high neck, and is made from a lovely light weight fabric, perfect for the sunny but cool sea side climate. To keep the rest of the outfit equally minimal, I wore my barely there white heels from Missguided and topped the whole thing off with a woven, wide brimmed hat from Americas' favorite chain store, Target!
The sun was so brilliant that day that the hat was a must to shade and protect from a sunburned nose! I'm SO glad I brought it along although I almost lost it in the wind!
