What's up guys and gals?! The order of the day is this fantastic set from my friends at Vesper247! I've featured Vesper on the blog before, in my first Double Feature blog, and now they're back for round 2 (well, 3, technically!)
The spaghetti strap top has a cute asymetrical ruffle, which permits you to wear the top without a bra. It lands just above the skirt, and serves as a fantastic way to break up the column silhouette while still maintaining the classic vibe!
The skirt's geometric stripe print is something I've never seen before, and again really adds a modern twist to the classic pencil skirt! This is something that Vesper247 is especially good at, so if you're looking to get a more conservative attire with a twist, you now know where to go! The slit in the skirt is also a very nice touch, and helps to give the piece a little bit of an edge.
The top and the skirt can both be bought seperately, but I highly reccomend wearing them together. They just look fantastic paired together!
You could accessorize this outfit by picking any of the colors from the skirt, but on this occassion I went with blue. I picked up this fantastic Guess bag at TJ Maxx a while back, and it was just the pop of color I needed to CC-ify this look. For those of you who don't know, TJ Maxx is a fantastic place to get bargains on mid-range designer stuff, and you should stop by one if you get the chance. (Side Note: I'm not in any way sponsored by them, though I wish I was! This is just a tip from one bargain hunter to another!) In keeping with the color choice, I went with a minimal blue heel. I also added a 2016 staple, a black velvet choker, courtesty of Genevere Rose! They sent me my first several chokers and they're all excellent quality, I highly recommend them!
I finished off the look with my watch from Daniel Wellington. The watch, just like the outfit, is a classic timepiece with a modern twist. It's white and silver face, placed on a black leather strap, swaps out generic numbers for Swavorski Crystals.
