~Superhero Vibes~

What's up guys and gals? Today's look from Missguided has made me feel like the world's most chic superhero ever! This is the part where I'm supposed to say the superhero equivalent of "let's get started" or "let's dive right in," but I can't think of anything half-way funny OR punny. I guess I'll settle for a tried and true cultural reference, then! Holy Caped Crusader, Batman! To the Bat-blog!

First, the main attraction! The stunning white cape coat! Missguided has a shorter blazer-length version of this coat, but I went with the longer version for added drama. Actually, when I saw this piece on the Missguided website, I designed a whole outfit around it! This is an admittedly hard piece to wear because of the length, but if you style it right it really pays off.

A lot of people would choose to style the coat without anything underneath, and that's totally OK for some, but it was a little too much skin for me, so I paired it with a bralette from ANGL. This bralette is my go to undergarment for looks like this. I've worn it once before and I found it to be so perfect that I would even go so far as to recommend it as a piece in a possible capsule wardrobe.

For a little extra bling, I added my Lacey's Layers marble necklace. Lacey makes fantastic pieces so you should really check her out! Handmade jewelry will always have a special place in my heart!

I went for a pair of white cigarette trousers from Missguided's Peace + Love collection to pair with the white coat. As many of you know, it's very risky to try and buy two white items online, because the white colors are often slightly different and therefore won't go together at all. It really is a problem you never thought you'd have until you have it. Luckily for me, the pants were a perfect match! Whew! Fashion crisis averted! Also the fit of these is just fantastic. It's very hard to find these kind of pants for someone who has longer legs, because sometimes they'll end up just looking like capris.

Finally, to keep the outfit sleek, I added my pair of barely-there Perspex heels, also from Missguided. I've already sung their praises in a previous blog, which you can read here, but I'll say it one more time for good measure. These. Shoes. Are. AWESOME.

Thanks so much for reading and keep checking back for more! As always the links are below. Hope you liked the blog!
