The Bay Horse Inn situated in the village of Goldsborough, Yorkshire has recently been taken over by Mark and Clare Oglesby, the owners of the glorious Goldsborough Hall.
The handsome stone building has been updated and redecorated while still retaining the authentic charm and comfort associated with this historic Coaching Inn.
I indulged in several meals there and found the food and service was exceptional. Serving up pub classics with a French flair, such as the roasted chicken in a luscious thyme sauce or the rich beef bourguignon in wine, elevates these traditional dishes.
The pasta is made fresh on site for the lasagna, the vegetables are harvested from the Goldsborough Hall gardens, and even the craft beers and gin are from local producers!
