~Vintage Vibes~

What's up guys and gals?! Today we're looking at a combination of two of my favorite things: DIY and Fashion! This little red number was one of my looks for the 2015 Goodwood Revival! The Revival is arguably one of the largest gatherings of classic cars and classic car racing in the world, and it takes place in England.

This dress was made by my mother and I at a wildly rapid pace; we didn't realize that we were going to the Revival until it was almost upon us! Panic mode ACTIVATED! A LOT of research went in to this outfit, and we were thrilled when we realized Butterick had re-released some of their original 1950s patterns! The pattern is still available for purchase, but be warned, many modifications were made to it for this dress!

The gloves and purse are real leather and real vintage; a thrilling find from Etsy! The detail in the beading is phenominal! I will take this moment to point out that the fur is fake. I don't, nor will I ever, wear real fur! We did have to sacrifice a coat from a thrift shop to get it though, but I think it was worth it! The sunglasses are reproduction, with a bit of extra bling, because I wouldn't be me if I didn't have some bling! The broach on the dress was also taken off of thrift shop find, it was tacked onto the front of a purse.

I hope you enjoyed this blog! The link to the pattern AND the goodwood revival is below, along with a picture of the Goodwood Mess, where we spent our weekend! How gorgeous is that?!
